ROBERT SHEEHAN says he wears women’s clothes because he prefers how they look on his body.
The Irish actor is famous for his flamboyant sartorial style, and often hits the headlines for his gender-bending looks on the red carpet.
Now he has revealed that the secret to his unique look is his fondness for wearing female-focused designs.
And he reckons other men should follow suit.
The Umbrella Academy star told Attitude magazine: “I really prefer how ladies’ clothes look on me, to be honest. It’s the great secret of retail: guys, get out there and go to the ladies’ side of things.”
ROLE MATCH
Sheehan’s style certainly came in handy when he landed the part of Klaus Hargreeves in the hit Netflix series.
The supernatural time-hopping show follows a group of seven adopted siblings with extraordinary powers.
And Sheehan, whose character was rewritten as gay when he won the part, believes his tastes were the perfect match for the role.
Unfortunately, the 32-year-old has suffered his share of anatomical problems when it comes to wearing women’s clothes.
Sound the claxon Robert Sheehan fans because you have been blessed by Netflix once again this year.
Not only have you been gifted a whole 10 new episodes of The Umbrella Academy, but the streaming giant has also confirmed that all five seasons of Misfits are coming your way.
Yes, you read that right.
The esteemed company announced the glorious news on Twitter, and we’re already buying in the popcorn for some epic binging sessions.
‘ROBERT SHEEHAN NEWS,’ they wrote when starting the post – and yes, the capital letters are 100% necessary.
‘If S2 of The Umbrella Academy didn’t scratch your itch, *all five* seasons of Misfits will be coming to @NetflixUK on 15 September.’
Hal-le-lujah, Nathan is back.
Fans were quick to comment and celebrated the news, joking that they’ll only be tuning into the first two seasons which Robert stars in.
‘Misfits dies after Robert Sheehan left,’ one wrote while another joked the actor plays a Nathan 2.0 in his latest project The Umbrella Academy: ‘Klaus is even better with an Irish accent.’
Others stuck up for the final three seasons, which originally aired on Channel 4, adding: ‘Never mind Robert Sheehan. Joe Gilgun is amazing in series three to five.’
THE Umbrella Academy’s Robert Sheehan has revealed he loves ‘all the nudity’ as Klaus and that he prefers wearing women’s clothes.
The 32-year-old actor plays one of the most flamboyant characters in the Netflix series, much to his delight.
Speaking about his character to Attitude magazine, Robert said Klaus’ style reflects his own.
He said: “I really prefer how ladies’ clothes look on me, to be honest. It’s the great secret of retail: guys, get out there and go to the ladies’ side of things.
“The cuts are much more European, if you will. And so that quite naturally seemed to match Klaus – low-cut jeans, cleavage, lots of skin, lots of nudity. Which, again, reflects my own tastes.”
Robert is certainly a statement dresser in real life as well as on the show, and regularly rocks bold and exciting looks on the red carpet.
